Can fire be carried in the bosom
without burning one’s clothes?
Or can one walk on hot coals
without scorching the feet?

Sin is sin and no matter how small the infraction if unconfessed has the power to remain like a canker in your soul and soon you will lose your peace and joy. All sin is abhorrent to Me. All sin creates a rift in our relationship not because I desire it but because nothing unclean can come into My Presence. This is why I instituted the Sacrament of Reconciliation take advantage of it, use it often, and do not allow even the slightest distance caused by even the smallest sin to drive a wedge in your relationship with Me. I love you, desire you to be holy and perfect, and provide you with all the graces necessary to be a true and loving daughter of God. A just man falls seven times a day and you who are so weak will surely fall far more often. Even though you desire to love Me with your whole heart, mind soul, body, and spirit, when you lack the humility to confess even the smallest transgression you will stain your soul and create a distance between us that will widen if you do not approach the Mercy Throne quickly and be forgiven. Forgiveness, mercy, and grace await you for the Lord loves the repentant sinner. The humble and contrite of heart I will not spurn. I will quickly forgive and restore, strengthen and purify, and you will not give in so easily to temptation by the power of My grace.
