WORD OF GOD - JN 16:7-11

JOHN 16:7-11

Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: about sin, because they do not believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will see me no longer; about judgment because the ruler of this world has been condemned.

The Father has found a way to ensure that even though I return to Him I will still be with you and He will too, for where the Father is there is His Son, and where the Son is there is His Father. The same Holy Spirit who is the bond of love between us is also given to you. He who makes the Father and I one will draw you into this eternal bond of love and you will be one with Me as I AM one with My Father. If you remain in Me and I remain in you then you will avoid sin because you know and love Me, you will strive for righteousness in all things because I AM righteous, and you will believe that I who have conquered evil and crushed the head of the ruler of the world will return again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
