You have spent much of your life working for the earthy bread and so too do many in the world, only at the end of their lives, when it is almost too late they turn their attention to why they were created and their final end. By then it is too late for many to do anything meaningful to work out their salvation with fear and trembling. You know that you were created for God. He is Your beginning and your end. The reason you live is because the God of infinite love and tenderness created you redeemed, you saved, you and sanctified you not to fritter your life away for baubles and trinkets but for lasting joy and peace in the presence of the Lord your God. You have worked all your life for the food that perishes. You have been anxious when that food supply was threatened. You have given greater importance to earning and keeping the things that are temporal while you have wasted a large portion of your life focusing not on eternal things but on the things of the world. Now as you stand in the final years of your life You have begun to understand that the whole purpose of your life was to allow the reign of My Kingdom in your soul and to establish this Kingdom on earth. God Himself has provided the nourishment that will help you in this great call that you received at your Baptism - the flesh and blood of the only Son of God. Eat and drink of Me, ---- my own, and receive the life that God has always desired to give you in this Sacrament of Love. Be sealed in My Blood and in My Spirit and live.
