MARK 15:33-34

33 When noon arrived, darkness covered the entire land and lasted until three o’clock;

34 and at three o’clock, Jesus cried out loudly:
“Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, ‘My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’

Surrender to the will of My Father is key to living a life that is totally consecrated and sanctified to Me, your Savior, your Redeemer, your Lord, and your God. I AM the Son of the living God, and you are My sister. For anyone who lives a life that is modelled after Mine is grafted to Me, is a member of My Body, and has My Father for their Father. This is why, if you are truly My sisters and My brothers, you will do as I have done in all things—not only when it is easy but when it is difficult.
In your darkest hours, in your darkest days, when all seems lost, when it seems your whole life is shattered, when there is nothing but darkness, heartache, and heartbreak wherever you turn, and all hope seems lost; when there is no solid ground under your feet, and you think you are sinking, and all is lost - remember this hour I experienced of abandonment on the Cross. Remember that it was for your sake and for the sake of your salvation and the salvation of all those you love and pray for so earnestly each day, the names that are ever on your lips, in your mind, and in your heart as you plead for them to Me with many tears and much sorrow and grief, praying that I do for them as you ask. Never forget that the key that opens the heart of God is total and complete surrender to His will.
My surrender obtained for you the redemption of all your sins and opened the gates of heaven for you. My Mother’s surrender to the will of My Father made that salvation possible for you and for the whole world. Joseph, My foster father’s life of total childlike surrender to the command of God, kept both the Son of God and the Son of Man, as well as the daughter of God, My Mother Mary, safe from those who sought to kill Me, even in infancy. He was My father on earth, the provider and protector of our home in Nazareth.
Surrender is the key to the heart of God and will answer every prayer you ever make. Even when it seems that you and those you love are plunged in utter darkness where hope is all gone, even then, as you acknowledge your God-forsakenness, let it serve to remind you that only when you have given up what you want for yourself and for your loved ones, forsaking all your desires wholly and completely, fully emptied of self, and you look to the Father and wait in perfect resignation for His answer, you will discover His answer is always yes, and in His yes is life, and perfect peace. Rest in His will, and you will rest in perfect surrender in His love.
