You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It has become useless. It can only be thrown away, and people will trample on it.
You are the light of the world. A city built on a mountain cannot be hidden.

Because you are mine, because I have called you by your name, because I have written it on the palm of My hand, you are My disciple. And as a disciple, you are called to be My witness in a world that is increasingly tasteless and faithless in its pursuits of the things that make for death rather than life. Today I AM calling you to be the salt that the world needs by your witness to Me. You are called to show those you come in contact with daily that it is possible to live a life that makes a difference for good and impact the lives of those you meet in a way that gives hope and encouragement. You are also called to radiate My Light in you. Many walk in darkness not because they are blind—though many are blind to the truth of the Gospel—but because there is no one to shine My Light so they can walk in the Way that leads to life and to the Kingdom of Heaven.
Take to heart what I have invited you to be once again - salt and light in the world. Be constantly aware of your mission. Pray to the Holy Spirit to give you all the graces you need, and He will deny you nothing you need to be all that I ask you to be. Lift up your head, straighten your shoulders, receive all that I desire to give you, and begin anew to live your faith with boldness and courage. And know that I AM with you always until I call you home to Myself to be with Me eternally.
Listen, do your duty, pay attention to the voice of the Spirit dwelling in you, and do just as He directs you to, always and everywhere, and you will live in My love, and My light and My Word will come alive in you as My love radiates from you. Be of good cheer. I have overcome the world. BE NOT AFRAID.
