Six days before the Passover Jesus came to Bethany, the home of Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. There they gave adinner for him. Martha served, and Lazarus was one of those at the table with him. Mary took a pound of costly perfume made of pure nard, anointed Jesus’ feet, and wiped them with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
---- Mine,
Contemplate the scene before you, the hour for which I have come into the world is almost upon Me and I desire to be around those who love Me, believe in Me, and are delighted to welcome Me into their home. What a comforting respite from all the hatred and accusations of those who are plotting ceaselessly to kill Me. Dear Martha's love is visible in her service. She wishes to make sure that I AM comfortable. Lazarus along with his friends and My disciples are seated at the table with Me. They witnessed the miracle of raising Lazarus to life and they know that I AM who I say I AM. And then there is Mary she knows intuitively what must be done. She loves greatly and love makes her highly sensitized to everything concerning Me. She brings a jar of costly perfume and anoints My feet with it and wipes them with her hair. She is oblivious to what those in the room may think of her actions. The fragrance of the expensive perfume fills the entire house symbolizing the fragrance of the holocaust of My Sacrifice which will rise up and fill the highest heavens with its fragrance as I redeem the world.
