Song of Songs 1:1-4
Shower me with kisses of your mouth:
your love is more delicious than wine.
Your oil smells sweeter than any
perfume,
your name spreads out like balm;
no wonder the maidens long for you.
Lure me to you, let us fly!
Bring me, O king, into your room,
and be our joy, our excitement.
We will praise your caresses more than wine,
how rightly are you loved.
---- Mine, true love is an all consuming fire; its flame is eternal and nothing not even death can put it out. Love triumphs over all, nothing can quench the fires of love. Don't waste your time on flights of fancy, on the tawdry imitation the world calls love, the emotions that are as fleeting as mist in the heat of the sun. Love is so much more than the love between human persons. Love must first be offered to the Transcendent God whose nature is love and whose will is directed by love. Nothing in all the world can compare with My love for you and when you love Me as you ought you will find meaning and purpose for your life and you find your love and your passion returned more gloriously than anything your human mind can conceive of, or hope and long for.
