Matthew 6:20-21
Store up treasure for yourself with God, where no moth or
rust can destroy nor thief come and steal it. For where your treasure is, there
also your heart will be.
----Mine, do you recall the parable where a man found
a treasure buried it in the field and sold all he had in order to buy that field so he
could claim the treasure in it? The treasure was so great in value that he was
prepared to give up all that he had previously owned in order to have it.
Nothing that was previously his could measure up to what he had found. I was
speaking of the Kingdom of God when I told this parable to those around me. To
possess the Kingdom of God and its righteousness one must let go of all that
will hinder you from embracing it fully. It is not an easy road but long and
narrow and few choose to walk on it but the rewards, as the man who found the
treasure in the field discovered, is worth it.
