WORD OF GOD - LK 5:4-7

LUKE 5:4-7

When Jesus had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch.” Simon replied, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing. But if you say so, I will lower the nets.” This they did, and caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. They signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them. They came, and they filled both boats almost to the point of sinking.

---- Mine,

Bear in mind always that the Church is My Body and Peter and his successors its visible head. All the members have the responsibility to varying degrees, and according to their vocation in life, to help Peter to put out into deep water and lower the nets for a catch. You are invited to build up not tear down. Only by working together, in humility, obedience, and harmony will the Bark of Peter haul in the large catch. The harvest is ready but the laborers are too busy bickering and sowing division rather than working together with a singleness of purpose. Now is the time, the hour is here.
