WORD OF GOD - LK 8:11-15

LUKE 8:11-15

‘Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. The ones on the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
The ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe only for a while and in a time of testing fall away. As for what fell among the thorns, these are the ones who hear; but as they go on their way, they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. But as for that in the good soil, these are the ones who, when they hear the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patient endurance.

---- Mine,

What kind of soil are you? Does the seed of My Word fall on good soil or are there patches of soil in your heart that represent each of the soils I have mentioned? Does My Word find a home in your heart and does it encourage you to die to yourself so you can be born again to new life or do you allow the frivolities of the world, the innate selfishness of your needs and wants, or the false gods of the world to rob you of your rightful inheritance? Remember the price at which you were purchased. Do not build your life on sand but on the sure foundation of My Word. Let it find a home in you. Put down roots that are deep so you will be nourished by the Holy Spirit and bear fruit a hundredfold for the Kingdom of God and you will glorify My Father in heaven.
