Matthew 22:37-39
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and the most important of the commandments. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Pay careful attention to what I say to you today. Love of God must come before all else. Strive to love Me always; every moment of all your waking hours must be dominated by this command. Unless every thing you say, do, think, is not motivated by love, absolute love for the Lord your God, you will be certain to drift away from what will anchor you to the Truth that gives life, hope, and meaning to everything. Determine at every moment to love Me above and before all else and then to love everyone you encounter as much as you care for yourself and you will always remain in the shadow of My love and My protection. To be happy and fulfilled is to always be aware of of these two guiding principles, love of God and love of neighbor. Do this and everything else will be given to you pressed down, shaken together, and running over; such will be your joy and no one can take it away from you.
