Psalm 41:1, 3
Happy are those who consider the poor;
the Lord delivers them in the day of trouble.
The Lord sustains them on their sickbed;
in their illness you heal all their infirmities.
Never overlook or forget those who are poor and those who look to you eagerly for even a morsel of bread. Recall that you are but a steward and all you have been given is Mine and one day you will be asked to render to Me a strict account of your stewardship. If your heart and your hands are open, if your ears are attuned to the cries of those who hunger and thirst and you give readily then I assure you that when you cry out to Me for help not just for you but for those you love and for whom you cry out to Me night and day, I will hear and I will answer and I will give them all that you have asked for in prayer and more.
